  • Profile: I am a 22 year old french student in cinema.
I discovered AMVs not long ago, the first one I saw was Eva-The final countdown by Europe and at that time, I thought it was a trailer for the anime... nothing astounding then. But in the beginning of the year, I encountered others and I was told that they were made by anime lovers.
I found the concept very exciting since I was interested in editing so I watched several animes I didn't know (at that time, I only knew Eva, Akira, DBZ and maybe DNA² and a few others) and I started to think about an AMV...

I got and watched Titan AE, a well encoded mpg downloaded from the net and I liked the movie... although I know it was kind of a flop in the world. Then, I began to realize that it had several common aspects with a song I adored: "Né en 17 à Leidenstadt" by Jean Jacques Goldman ("Born in 1917 in Leidenstadt"). It is a song about what we would have done in the place of German people in the nazi period, would we have been heroes or cowards, active opponents or passive spectators...
"Born in 17 on the Titan" was born in my head...
The making of this video was kind of an odyssey but I talk about all this in the AMV comments.

I then thought of making an AMV with Animatrix... I found these short-footages astounding by their quality. So I decided to turn it into "Machines arised on that beautiful day" using U2's hit:
    Beautiful day.
I took me 2 days to achieve this one... not that it was carelessly done but my ideas were quite clear and I had gotten to know Premiere quite well.

Well, like any other creator of this site, I hope you will download my vids and enjoy them.
If you'd like to take contact with me, if you find my work interesting, please, please, mail me, I'd love to work in audiovisual editing.

My config is presently the following one:
    PIV 1.8GHz
    1Go DDR RAM
    HD 20Go + 40Go
    Pinnacle Studio DV Deluxe
    ATI Radeon 64Mb
    Premiere 6.0
    Photoshop 6.0
    Virtual Dub
    Tmpgenc 2.0

As an end, I would like to mention my favorite AMV, it features Kodomo No Omocha over the William Tell Overture and it is a sparkling diamond. It's my model, I even idealize it a little but I think it is really next to perfection. If you want to see some awesome A/V sync, this one is surely the best.

I thank you for your attention and interest and see you some day on the site.
