  • Profile: Well, how to describe me ?... hmm some friends call me the anime freak psycopat (well i don't know if it's true, lol, but i like animes for sure).
    I live in france, animes are very popular here, but AMV tends to be ignored... i dunno why, even in cons there's no AMV shown, but i'd like to change that, that's why i sent one of my AMV this year (and the previous one too) to the most famous french convention (Cartoonist) in order to develop AMV contests etc... well, even if my AMV is alone there (this year a friend of mine sent one too ! :), even if it sucks (err... i hope it's not the case) it's only 5 mins lost... i hope you'll enjoy the 1st one i posted here ;)

    In AMVs here's what i like the most:
    - When we can see the feelings or the will of the AMV maker in its creation. (very important for me)
    - When the action is synchro with the music (of course ^^)
    - When the music fits the original atmoshpere of the anime (You're not going to put Heavy Metal music on an anime like Ah! My Goddess huh ? :p)
    - The Artistic look of the AMV
    - A good master used, or well encoded... (not 'always' the case)
    - There must be more things... very common like scenes selections etc...

    What i hate the most:
    - Bad Master used (sometimes it can't be helped... but there's times where the quality can be improved greatly :/), the editing can be good, but it's spoiled by a bad master, too bad...
    - Real Media (crappy compression compared to Mpeg/Divx even ASF is better in space/quality)
    - Using Heavy Metal music (not that i hate HMetal, but i'm just tired of it...)
    - Lip sync, yeah Lip Sync because i think it's most of the time disturbing and it breaks the beat of the Action Sync, i rarely watched good Lip Sync... and i'm not going to use it in one of my AMV (sorry Lip Sync fans ;)
    - Animes mixed together (well, since every anime is different, it's hard to respect the atmosphere present in one anime)
    - Over-Used digital effects: Sometimes there's so much effects in the AMV that it's total nonsense or makes you feel epileptic !

    Here's my reference: Aluminium Studios (William Milberry), if i'm making AMVs it's because of him and his awesomes AMVs. (I recommend you House on the Moon, Try and Larger than Life)
