  • Profile: My friend first got me interested in anime back in 2001 when he showed me the Cowboy Bebop TV series on DVD. But I really fell down the rabbit hole a couple months ago when I went on a huge DVD spree.

I didn't even know what an AMV was until I attended Anime Expo this year ('04) in Anahiem, CA. I was hyped on the idea of mixing anime footage to music because I had been doing almost the same thing with my homemade DVC volleyball and basketball footage. I have a select few up on my site in the video section. I didn't use any fancy editing techniques in those. Big props to all the AMV makers here, you guys are studs.

So after reading all the "how-to-guides" and seeing many of the fine AMVs on this site, I will throw my card in the hat and attempt to make one (sometime in the distant future) that is enjoyable. My goal is to make one of the 28 videos selected for next year's AX AMV Contest. Waiting in line for 2 hours stinks.
