  • Profile: Well hello there, and welcome to my humble profile page!

    I am a sporadic AMV maker - I do one every couple of years, it seems, when I'm not too tied up with uni work. I very much enjoy the process of making AMVs, and I can safely say that my technique (and software capabilities) has improved dramatically since I made my first one back in 2005.

    Abelia: Would You Still Call Him Superman? was made in a fangirlish frenzy, on my old laptop using WMM, which crashed incessantly throughout the process. The footage was terrible quality, the editing a bit off (timed to vocals rather than music. Why? SLAGIATT ^_^) but godammit I had fun doing it and it's not bad for a first attempt, really!

    Portrait of a Mad King was along the same lines as the previous one, but more focussed on Hamdo, and his, well, madness. By this time I had proper DVD quality footage and a better sense of timing, so the final result was a general all-round improvement.

    In between I did some 'messing-about' ones, which aren't up here (there is such a thing as too many Hamdo/Abelia videos!), and the latest one is, shock horror, of a completely different series ( Oniisama E ), which I first watched last Summer. It is now up there in my top-ten series. If you haven't seen it, you should. It's an emotional rollercoaster of a story, with sympathetic characters and melodrama galore. Don't use mine and yprbest's video (Sister, Dear Sister) as a trailer, though - it contains a major, devastating spoiler!

    Who knows what my next project will be, and when it will commence - AMV inspiration is an elusive thing ^_^
