  • Profile: So...yeah...about me...
    The name's Michael or Mike. Cute girls and wrestling coaches have been known to call me Mikey. Most folks settle on "hey you." Girlfriends usually go for "dork, geek," or on rare occassions, "ooh baby." I could care less. Just as long as it's consistent. I'm 22, 5'7", 140lbs, brown hair, blue eyes, with a "perpetually ticked-off" expression on my face when I'm not doing something I enjoy. Or so I've been told.

    I'm a student at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI...got into anime a couple years ago living down in Ann Arbor thanks to a friend by the name of Draco, with whom I watched my first Inuyasha episodes. Big O followed, then Love Hina, and it just kept going. :) Haven't regretted it yet. Speaking of which, my favorite anime remains Inuyasha, but this Gungrave series I've been watching is definitely awesome as well. I've also been reading most of the Kenshin mangas, which are quite entertaining. :)

    I like country music in the summer, Christian in the winter, classic rock in the fall, and Barenaked Ladies in the spring (the group, duh! Get your mind out of the gutter!). My favorite movies are Ben-Hur and Pirates of the Caribbean, but there are a lot of others in a close second. ;) I have an odd and occassionaly twisted sense of humor which (fortunately) often seems to coincide w/ other folks who watch anime...coincidence?

    Of course, I do more than anime. I love reading (Stephen Lawhead is by FAR my favorite author), running, and do quite a bit of writing, though nothing professionally. I also play a miniatures game called Warhammer and, on occassion, do a bit of roleplaying. I'm always game for sports and cards and also really enjoy chatting w/ new people online. SO IM ME ALREADY. Ignore the away message, I'm probably around. TexAK83 on AIM. It's okay, I don't bite...unless you ask... ;)

    Shame on me. I'm probably giving you all the wrong impressions. I'm really a somewhat shy guy, certainly not prone to Miroku-ish greetings of cute girls. Well, not often.

    I've actually put together a couple of AMVs...Get Down is certainly my favorite of the three. Check 'em out, drop an opinion (please?), lemme know what ya think. I'd appreciate it. :)
