  • Profile: Bio, neh? I suppose I could write out the normal one..

    Hi! My name is Dera Gallilean (not for real silly!). I am a Capricorn and my blood type is A+. I like watching just about any genre in anime, with the exception of horror – not that I’ve come across many of those. I am a struggling art student trying to attain her associates degree in Graphic Design and perhaps later move into a Bachelor degree program for animation. At this time, I am doing an internship at Disney College this Fall (2003).

    I initially got into making an anime video after getting Windows XP and discovering Windows Movie Maker. There was a song I had heard on ‘Legally Blonde’ which struck me as an ideal song for Misaki and Hikaru of Angelic Layer and I quickly got to work on my idea. About a week later I had created my first AMV, “Watch Me Shine.”
    Now about a year later I can only look at it an cringe. However, until I remake it (which I think I will end up doing once I can get a cheap DVD set off of e-bay that I can get some decent rips from) I will let it stay listed here, but hosted on my personal web site.

    My second AMV is “Street Spirits (Fade Out)” which I created with the Final Fantasy Unlimited’s more angst side. I was happy with how it turned out initially, but still went and revised it, changing the ending and middle sections slightly. Once, again I used Windows Media Player.

    My third AMV came about half way into the semester when I was supposed to be studying for midterms. O_o;; (would you believe it was a stress reducer?) I had a new idea for an Angelic Layer AMV using a older, unusual song. I don’t want to say what movie it’s from, but I think that if you listen to the music you’ll get a kick out of it. Unfortunately, after feeling satisfied with the video I went and deleted all the Angelic Layer episodes on my computer to make room for a new anime. So I was unable to go back and fix it’s one blip. However, I suppose I am happy with it as a fun piece and consider it finished. I wouldn’t give it a big grade though. (shrug).

    I suppose that is a good enough bio, neh? I will leave my favorite quotes and then vanish… OH! And please leave comments about the videos so I know what people are looking for. Thanks! Ja ne!
