  • Profile: I think it's finally time I wrote something here.

    Let's start from the beginning, or as much of the beginning as I care to mention. Born Brazilian, raised Irish. Lots of formal art training, which included private tutoring as a child as well as a big expensive college. So, I've always been at least a little creative. My first experience with AMVs was here: http://www.dbzwarriors.cjb.net/, and I can't help but wonder how many other people can say the same. A friend of mine showed me the org, convinced me to join and eventually, us two started making them. First in Windows Movie Maker, which we regret. I can't even look at that video anymore. We churned out lots of mediocre stuff, a few nice surprises and now that I think about it, our ORIGINAL plan way back in the day was to AMV all of Spamalot, as we started making them after seeing that show. Me as mostly creative input and my friend (Incanus1225) as mostly technical. I must admit, I would not be able to do a thing without him and his experiments. Hopefully, he can say the same about me and mine.

    Nowadays, I'm married. The wife accepts my nerdiest of hobbies, so far as to join the conventions with us and even help with the videos. Her bits of help may be partially responsible for our recent successes with Otakon. Three times we entered and three times we made finals. First year: third. Second year: second, which I blame COMPLETELY on conspiracy. We are now in 2009, with Otakon less than a fortnight away. Maybe we'll hit first. Maybe we won't. If we don't, odds are I'll be depressed the rest of the con.

    So please, vote for Lawrence Studios. My psyche can't take it.
