[average 119.3 of 231939 opinions; standard deviation 432 ] - Profile: I'm a nerd through and through. DnD, MtG, anime... engineering student to boot. AMVs are pretty much the reason I got into anime in the first place, so I have some pretty strong opinions about them.
I try to make at least two AMVs a year to enter into cons, and also to show at my anime club's Halloween party. If one of my AMVs makes it into a con, I post it online, if not, I try to work on it some more until I think its worthy of public scrutiny.
I'm a fan of drama AMVs over all, with close second being experimental AMVs... I'm okay with action, and I don't really like where the comedy genre has been going lately.
Over all I think that AMVs can be a legitimate art form. I have no talent what so ever as an artist or musician, but I hope that I might be able to one day develop as an editor to the point where I can make AMVs that can evoke emotional responses in other people, or that at the very least, don't suck.
After having made my first two AMVs to get into a con, I think I have managed to improve my technique a bit... that or its wishful thinking.
