Konnichiwa! Welcome to the grand opening of Ahou Ga Production Studios! Thanks much to Phade for letting me change my username from that old raddy 2001-fad username to the new and improved "AGP Kadin"! Starting March 2003, I'm going to take this website more seriously and leave opinions and make AMVs, where-as I was a total leech of videos before.
Oh, I guess a little history is in order, then, huh?
I first joined AMV.org in spring of 2001 after seeing my earliest of videos (which I thought were cooler than anything). Those included Kenshin's Wash (by Makyra), My Iron Lung (by Kusoyaro), Pokemon Bitches (By Xionpower), and Vast-Touched (by Lord Rae I think). After joining AMV.org, I immediately wanted to see all the BEST videos out there, so I hopped onto the top 10% videos list and the top favorite lists and what do I see? Odorikuruu. Enough said, right? My mind was blown to smithereens, and I was hooked for life. I gathered everything I could get my hands on (-.-; not much considering my puny 56k connection then AND now) and watched and watched and watched. I was so awed by works like Tainted Donuts, Trigun - Eden, Soul of an Angel (and other ErMaC works), Right Now Someone Is Reading This Title, etc. that I became determined to become an AMV maker! But there was one little problem - I only owned a few anime titles, and the one full series I had (Eva) was copied on vhs (decent quality for a copy), and a friend had borrowed the middle tape of the 5 they fit on and never gave it back. AHH!!!
It was then that my girlfriend came into my life - and oh did she bring a lot with her! The entire Kenshin series, the entire Fushigi Yuugi series, Grave of Fireflies, the entire Cowboy Bebop series, and various Sailor Moon and MKR. From there we combined our efforts to acquire the first 5 Berserk DVDs and all of the Hellsing series (1-12 -.-; IT NEEDS TO BE LONGER). On top of that, the first 5-6 DVDs of Love Hina, and the first 5 of Excel Saga. Oh, and the entire X TV Series and OVA(s?). We've been busy bees watching all this anime, and I think I'm finally ready to make my first video.
It was a flop. I had an awesome idea for the intro, and the song was so very appropriate for the situation (Linkin Park [Yes, I know]'s Papercut set to just the Saitou and Kenshin fight and the events leading up to it), but once I finished the intro and found out there were already almost 200 Linkin Park videos to their 12 songs, I got down hearted. I exported it and compressed it for memories, then wiped the source footage and project file from my HD.
Regardless of the overall failure, it was a definite learning experience. I learned how to use effects in premiere and of the existance of After Effects and VDub.
Basic info: born in December 1983, got interested in anime my freshman year of high school. It's been a downward spiral into Otakudom since then.
Love and Peace, and see you at AX2003 if you're going!
