i believe it's a RAM problem, that is all. I've done some homework on virtual memory, and my cache is fine.

I only run on 128Mb, so i asked for an upgrade for X-mas. Plus, my comp has been running sluggish regardless of this problem i've been having with my movie editting software, so i should have known it would have affected it.

Well, if you don't want to wait till Xmas to save your project, you can try breaking it into sections and producing the smaller ones separately, then connecting them again in a program like VirtualDub. That usually lets you get around not being able to produce (save) a very large project - break it into parts that are smaller and easier to save (less memory needed, if you want to look at it that way).
