Premier Vs Virtualdub Vs Codecs
Hi
I would like to resolve some problems with adobe premier 1.5 (its the same if it was 7.0).
Here is the situation:
-Im creating a new amv so i have clips with diferent codecs (Xvid Divx etc).
-I want to use virtualdub to make all the clips work in premier but i dont want a 30sec clip to be 300mb.
Here are the problems:
-All the encodings i have tryed (xvid Divx DVavi) lose quality or become full of errors after the render in premier.
i have use Huffyuv in virtualdub and the result is better but one 30sec clip becomes 300mb
Is there a way to cut clips using virtualdub and then exporting to a lossless quality format with a small size that premier can render and after aplying effects dosent get full of errors?
Thanks

Don't use 30 sec clips-problem solved. Limit clips to maybe 10 secs at the most, and that they contain just what you need, not extraneous stuff. Also make sure to use the 'Fast Recompress' mode in VDub instead of Full Processing mode. AviSynth pre-preprocessing also helps immensely, too.
