Kero server????

Post by AnimeChuck » Mon Feb 27, 2006 1:03 am

Hey, I'm having the hardest time uploading my AMV. This is the second time it has happened to me. I know it has a great deal to do with my bandwidth. There are two computers sharing the same internet connection however one of them is usually of a online game...almost all teh FUCKING time. I cannot connect to the server with my user/pass. the address is correct, but this isn't working out at all! This is really PISSING ME OFF. why can't we send it through YouSendIt.com or something and leave you guys the uploading issues. Cause some of our connection just don't cut when some numbheaded jerk is absorbing all the fucking bandwidth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry guys...I need help. I really need help with this AMV. It's finished and everything just no go on the computer.

The funny thing about your suggestion is that, if your difficulty truly were due to high throughput, your method would most likely fail just as badly as directly uploading to the .org servers.

One thing that does help a lot: most FTP clients maintain logs of sessions in text form. Post one here.

sounds to me like a classic firewall problem.
see if turning your firewall off while uploading helps

scrolling through the options and trying to find one that enables passive mode might help.

I think that both of these methods do pretty much the same thing, but the second one should be useful if you don't want to turn your firewall off or have a hardware firewall that isn't easily acessable.

I'm having the same problem but I can't turn my firewall off cuz I'm on public computers....what should I do (the computer is ftp enabled but it has no ftp server like filezilla or anything)

on a public computer, I'd think that it would have Internet Explorer, which has its own ftp built in.

put ftp://username:password@kero.animemusicvideos.org into the url bar
where you replace username with your username from the upload page
and replace password with the one you got on the upload page

I'm having a problem where this comes up:

Does not exist: This video does not (yet) exist. That can mean one of two things: Either you have followed a bad link or the video's creator has marked this video to premiere in the future. In the latter case, the video info will show up here once it premieres.

I've already uploaded to kero, and downloaded the tester, everything seems to be fine, except I have no video actually listed yet....

I have that same problem! I uploaded my video and watched the tester yesterday, yet the video still isn't up. What's up with that?
