Guns vs. Weapons vs. Bare Fists

After seeing Reloaded, i decided to make this topic. Whichi do you prefer? Gun Play, use of weapons(swords, maces), or regualr ol' king fu? I personally would have to say that I prefer a movie that has good ol' fashioned punches unt kicks. Though Reloaded had w bit of everything, i didn't get as into the movie unless there was ass getting kicked...

I like 'em all, well for personal use I mean. But in movies I like some good ol' gunfu.

in movies guns can get boring i theyre not done right.

But in real life i gneraly perfer running. I'v had lots of bad experiences fighting, and about 95% of them involve me being serioulsy out numbered (ie. 12 to 1). BUt if i had to i'd go for bare fists, tehn Melee and guns would be my last option.

oh sorry heh, thought crossed my mind. Um...I like weapons

matrix to me is too... overdone so I just stick with rurouni kenshin. they have some great sword fights in there

hopefuly i can get my hands on the japanese versions.

I was actualy pretty good and only got caught once or twice a week.

after running for such a long time, some times it's easier to just collapse and let them kick your ass ... as long as i was in the middle of the feild and far away from any places they could find sticks or other potential weapons it usualy wasn't that bad.

In movies, I've always been a fan of Kung Fu movies (you know the cheese ones with the dub that looks like 3 year olds did it and the plot that is umm not there...) But then again, Movies like Highlander, some of the swords fights in the original rocked... but you know every once in a while you run across a movie like Hard Boiled that makes you fall in love with your side arm all over again...

So to answer your question I can't decide...

Combat isn't about what you prefer, it's about survival. There's no room for honor, or civility or chivalry. You get in there, you deal your damage, you pee on the enemy.

Weapons help, but if all you do is depend on a weapon, you're really dumb. You should be the weapon. Everything else is a means to an end. Meaning, the items you use as weapons)

i suppose that this means you perfer hand to hand.

well you see, i'm an idiot, if i ever do get stuck in a fight i'd hopefully try to be honorable/civil aobut it ... i'd problaby get my ass kicked in the process ... but it makes me feel better about myself for being something more then a mere animal.
