"Anime" is a French word.
"If someone feels the need to 'express' himself or herself with a huge graphical 'singature' that has nothing to do with anything, that person should reevaluate his or her reasons for needing said form of expression, possibly with the help of a licensed mental health practitioner."

Funny thing is that telling someone that is a really effective way to get them to pronounce it properly  (just say the "e" is in fact "é")

So here comes the argument... or lack of actually...
How do you say anime (you personally).
I always just say 'anne-uh-may' (very oaf like hehe)
The snooty way(hahaha) 'ah-knee-may' always sounds weird to me.
Any other ways?

Well if you were to pronounce 'anime' using French guidelines, I believe it would be Ah-nee-may. But using French, wouldn't it be spelled 'animé'? I'm not an expert on my accents but... I don't really care. It's always anime to me.

happily enough, the french and Japanese pronunciations appear to have no incompatibilities, all the syllables necessary are native to both languages, AFAIK.
Probably why it was adopted into Japanese.
