How do you decide?

I was like that for a little while, with another show. It didn't last long; I couldn't keep up. Meh.
How do you choose? Star score, song choice, theme... I read the description, and if it doesn't look idiotic it has a pretty good shot with me. And sometimes I'll randomly download things that don't look very promising out of curiosity.
As for space, I burn everything off onto CD when it gets beyond a gig or two. Separated into Action/Serious and Upbeat/Comedy. Then it gets to be a problem of "I have this stack of unlabeled CDs" and not "my hard drive is full of other people's videos again."

That's what I do. I don't usually bother checking score, but sometimes number of opinions. So, first I read the descriptions, because usually those who put thought into the descriptions also put thought into the video. If I can't choose just from descriptions, I pick the one with the highest number of opinions, regardless of score.SarahtheBoring wrote:I read the description, and if it doesn't look idiotic it has a pretty good shot with me.
Kusoyaro: We don't need a leader. We need to SHUT UP. Make what you want to make, don't make you what you don't want to make. If neither of those applies to you, then you need to SHUT UP MORE.

I don't wanna speak like the artistic guy, but I never read the comments of the creator of the amv, for one reason :
if something is good (amv, music, book, movie, etc), it has to be good in itself. if you have to understand an underground private joke made in 1975 between two nerds to appreciate the amv, then maybe there is a problem.
although AMVs can't really be classified as "art", it is still a medium that has one and only goal : to create emotions (whether is it laugh, tear, love, fear, etc, is up to you).
so I never read the comments, where some authors might try to save their sorry asses by giving a poor justification of their defaults. However, when I really envoyed an amv, from time to time I will go and see what the author has to say (maybe stealing some good editing tips too ).
I don't look at the stars given either. In a world where brainwashing real TV shows seems to please everyone, it may be clever not to believe the majority's opinion, in order not to be turned into a cheep. Not that I place myself on an upper level ; I am a cheep as well, but still running free from the stupid barking dog.
