/me waits for somebody to mention VGP :)

Considering that people make anime for all different age ranges, I don't think I can give just one answer to a question like this.

NEVER!! You are never too old to like anime or make AMV's. But then again, I didn't get unto anime until a year or so ago (I'm about to turn 24), I just started doing AMV's, i refuse to grow up (I still watch Sesame Street!), and I will forever be a nerd. And besides, as far as what hobbies I have, I don't really care what people say. I enjoy myself and that's all that matters.

Very good point. And all the more reason to do this for the rest of your life. To make good on your investment. :D

People remember this:

I would like to point out that alot of the programs that people use to make amv's are pretty complicated stuff. and i would think that some people base carreers in advertising and other such things with the knowlege of programs such as premire and ae and photoshop... and yes even psp...so childish..NO... Is anime childish???...No.. it is childish to dismiss it as that. oh ya im 20 and i DONT live at home...so no haters :)
Close calls are always the most exciting. Coming close is always the most dissapointing.

Damn right ! Personnaly, I would say anime like GITS, Witch Hunter Robin, or Texhnolyze are exclusively aiming for an adult audience ... but if you're still a number-one fan of Sakura or Pokemon when turning 30, i'd say it is more ... just unusual.
Same for Amv, they are some for adults, some childish, but most of them are appropriate for all. So i think it's not a matter of age ...

Show me the person who says the likes of Moneyshot or 90% of the Berserk AMVs out there are for children (for just two examples off the top of my head)

and I'll show you a social services case waiting to happen.

I did not make my first AMV till I was 25. I am 27 now. There are several creators and fans over the age of 30. I do not think it is dorky.

Damn it, I was gonna XP

I don't think there is a set age, it matters on the person, when s/he feels that they don't want to or shouldn't anymore. I don't plan on stopping unless it stops being fun. I could see myself as some 50 year old businessman, or whatever I'll be doing, and coming home to get an hour of editing in before dinner :P Maybe by then, I'll have edited a lot of my idea queue -_-;;;
