Omni has a good excuse for his timeline looking as cluttered as that, most of his videos are dance vids and have quite a lot of digital effects in it. The rest of you... I don't know.

I've only done one video with digital effects, I expanded all the way to 5 rows, but when that got too tedious, I shrank it all the way back down to 2, through a lot of cutting, repasting, (Making about a dozen mis-pastes along the way) and either extending or shortening the speed of the anime.

The solution to this problem is to stop using digital effects except for fades and make a nice not too fast paced mostly dramatic AMV with Windows Movie Maker. ;D
