TaranT wrote:"Isis, the Egyptian goddess of rebirth remains one of the most familiar images of empowered and utter femininity....As the personification of the "complete female", Isis was called "The One Who Is All", Isis Panthea ("Isis the All Goddess"), and the "Lady of Ten Thousand Names".

"In...the Book of the Dead is found a Chapter...which was composed for the purpose of bestowing upon the deceased some of the magical power of the goddess. The Chapter was intended to be recited over an amulet called thet, made of carnelian, which had to be steeped in water of ankhami flowers, and set in a sycamore plinth, and if this were laid on the neck of a dead person it would place him under the protection of the words of power of Isis, and he would be able to go wheresoever he pleased in the Underworld."

Carnelian is in the same family of gemstones as jasper (red jasper).

(More fun with Google. :) )

just about most of the females I know on this site are on my list, and yet the list is probably even or maybe even more on the male side, simply because they seem to be more male editors. at least I know more male editors than female ones.

In the same respect though, I've also seen more videos that sucked from male editors than female ones also.

The impression that I get is that girls are more likely to be into (and make) shounen-ai videos and those with lots of bishounen eye candy and the like.

But I don't know for sure if that's in fact the case.

Lol I totally skipped the second page with the debate on if i'm female or not ;p

Scintilla is probably the only person posted here thats actually met me inperson so far ;p

And koop will always think I'm female even after he meets me.

And I've always though Jasper was a female when I saw the name the first time. The name looked female to me.

And yes I'm a guy.

Haven't made any of those yet. But I might attribute that to the fact that my sense of humor is a bit more warped than other girls'. Also, LadyDX is another exception to this; her stuff is pretty action/drama oriented.

I'm a girl. I have yet to make a shounen eye AMV. Though a couple of my fave bishies are in my AMVs.

Anyhow, many of my fave AMVs are created by females. But there are also created by males. I don't really look at the gender of the creator. I just like the AMV's concept- mix of anime with music and story being told.

Umm... no... Jasper is the old dude with the wooden leg who is always with Grandpa Simpson. I'm not entirely sure what you are trying to say, but dont confuse Hans Moleman with Jasper...

On topic though, some of my favourite creators are female (namely Yues Woman and Alicia_b )... and in some respect, their vids to me, though good, sometimes dont have much that distinguish them as female creators at all... the only way I know they are female are from their names and because I've met (Yues Woman) and seen (Alicia_b) before...
