- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

haha you actually believed me and used avisynth.
j/p, i have used it, but man your script is so much cleaner than mine.
i do really like the video. the edits are timed to the musical notes and the tension in the music fits well with the story of the video.

about sums up my comments on it too - when I first saw the post, I was wondering why Pwolf would post an AVISynth question in the wrong forum...downwithpants wrote: j/p, i have used it, but man your script is so much cleaner than mine.

Very impressive - I never knew you could construct an amv this way. I can't imagine how you began to pick the scenes and lengths and all...

well to be completely honest, i had already planned on using avisynth before i made that thread. i had about 4 programs i planned on using and the thread was to get a few more.downwithpants wrote:haha you actually believed me and used avisynth.
Thanks. while i was doing this i tried to keep everything structured in a way that i could easily figure out where i am in the video.downwithpants wrote:i have used it, but man your script is so much cleaner than mine.

I knew it was possible, but i didn't know how to do it. I looked on avisynth.org and figured out it was actually pretty simple. i was going to wait a little longer before i started to understand it all, but it turned out a lot easier then i thought, so i started once i got my sources. scene slection was probably the easiest part aside from the actual scripting. trying to get the right length of a clip was the hard part. i spent an hour trying to time one set of clips. should've taken me like 10min in any other program.808-buma wrote:Very impressive - I never knew you could construct an amv this way. yea it is short. now that i've had a break from it, i'm thinking of doing it again. it was an interesting experience and i really like how it turned out. I dunno about it being the best. But it's definatly a great tool that can do many things. i very much prefer a GUI to render the video and do all the math for me thoughchambeyc wrote:Avisynth only? Considering that, this vid is insanely good ! Too short imo though ... but if you worked with script only, making a 3minutes amv would have taken really too much time....
You showed us that avisynth is the best free video-editing tools: you're great
I forgot to add in the first post: must thank mr atomx for the song, as soon as i head it i thought of this video

I knew you can do such things with AviSynth, and many things more, but I never believed anyone really would do. Yes, if there'd be a handy GUI for it, much more people would create their vid's completly with AviSynth. Great job, but a bit too short. It left me sitting "That's all?", wanting to see more.
