Anyone else think the whole Yotsuba side of the story was done a little too quickly? I've read the manga, so I know what's going on, but I feel like if I hadn't then I'd have trouble following what the Yotsuba group was doing and why they were doing it.
Spoiler :
I don't think they even really explain that none of the seven other members of the group know who the real Kira is... that's very plain in the manga, but apparently in the anime they just expect you to figure that out...

Oh and I agree that the new opening and closing songs are vastly inferior to the old ones. Why do these anime series insist on changing the opening/closing sequences after about 15 episodes? The other one I remember clearly was GTO... I loved the first intro (which used L'Arc-en-Ciel's "Driver's High"), and hated the other two.

at least they dont SKIP openings when they air the eps.....

I was expecting Reday Steady Go when I bought the first Fullmetal DVD......Melissa totally blind-sided me.......

The Yotsuba arc was okay, I guess........volume seven was the best, though.........but, is it just me, or on the cover-

Spoiler :
-did Ryuzaki have a spot of blood on the sleeve of his shirt? (around his elbow area)

If he did, I think it's very fitting. :D
whats kainda funny is that Ed's 5'6", and he's taller than me. ............and he's called short..............*sigh*

EP 20 FTW!

Hot damn Misa's quite the little risk-taker isn't she? [almost getting humped in the new Kira's car... ack*]

But now, I wonder what happened in that eye of L's when he noticed...

Damn he's quick, I wonder what he picked up on [that Light didn't] about Misa's new knowledge...

You know...I finally saw an episode and I gotta say...not a big fan of the apple munching death god's voice...I expected something a bit higher...and more insane...but that's just me...

Actually, for me it was just as I imagined it... I really like that voice actor. To me, his vocal quality is just low enough to where he ca be menacing, but still high enough to pull off the funny moments.

To each his own, I guess.

To me, this series is all downhill after Episode 11 (end of the TV station). But I am looking forward to the start of the latter section with Near and Melo.

quick comments on two episodes

ep 21: I wonder if Misa actually realizes how dangeros her actions are. at the very least it was a brilliantly manipulative plot.

ep 22: Kira is in the process of being pwned, and it is good. I wonder if L's plan will continue to go so smoothly (it's also be interesting to see how it goes wrong)

...still hate the new op/ed

Misa-Misa! Anyways, I want the badass Light back. It just lost it's touch a bit.

This would of made a better opening song for Death Note, though.

I didn't like that song, but anything (with maybe one or two exceptions, like anything by AKFG) is better than that second OP.

woah episode 22.... it's getting intense. Sometimes I have to stop and think about how freaky this series actually is... scary. Yeah I wish Ryuk would hurry up and come back so Light can remember about the death note. He just seems a little nice and innocent right now. lol
