Nothing seems to be obvious with Magix video editor ._. I hope it isnt this difficult for me to figure out how to edit my video when I get started or I am gonna be spending 10 hours trying to make two scenes go smooth. Thanks to whoever answers.

in the export video pulldown, there should be an option (below all the vid export options) for you to export to an image file (BMP and something else, that I can't recall at the moment)...

hope this helps!

If you want to fix it with some sort of Magix feature, one way that sometimes works is to go to the System tab in the Program Settings and unclick the Internal Import for whatever audio type that's giving you trouble; I think Magix will then open the file however your computer normally does [probably using your own computers audio codecs... not the ones built into Magix]

... but I usually just convert everything to WAV, then import. Works every time.

I have a problem. every time I watch the preview video it kinda... stutters. I have a dual core processor (2ghz each core) and 2GB RAM with a radeon X1600PRO 512mb and I don't think my PC could be the problem. I've tried playing back AVI, WMV, and several other formats through the preview window and it keeps stuttering. changed the res, too. I just got this, so I'm not experienced with it yet, so there may be something I don't know about...

It depends on the sort of avi. Generally you should edit with huffyuv or lagarith files and it's fine. Even VOBs work fine for me. But editing with wmv is a definite no.

x2

The Technical Guide has codecs [the video format contained within the .avi file] broken down into two types: Editable Codecs and Distribution Codecs; use Editable Codecs as your source footage.
