I don't get that; I just get an XML error message saying "the specified key does not exist". I assume they caught the error you found and just haven't yet properly uploaded the new file.

Really? The old link still works for me...but they do seem to have updated the live AX site with the form for the 2012 contest.

That was the page I was talking about, actually. At the time I wrote that, the link wasn't working. But it wasn't going to last year's rules either.

Ryan, your video arrived. As soon as it is cataloged and reviewed you will get the formal notification.
Also have received an envelope from R. Keshishian. As of Sunday those are the only entries so far. Only a little over a month till dead line.

So...it seems no one else has asked this question, but why is the the PDF containing the rules and entry form clearly from last year's contest?

It's been edited...unless when they restored the site during the recent upgrade they uploaded the wrong one.

Why you ask? Read on.

As of about 5 minutes ago, I have tendered my two week notice of resignation from my position as Executive Director of Entertainment Group for Anime Expo / SPJA.

My last day of work in this position will be on April 14th, 2012.

It is my intention for the remaining two weeks to help wrap up any projects or contracts that I am working on for this year’s Anime Expo and transition ownership of them to Marc Perez, our CEO(marc.perez@spja.org), and or Kathy Moran, our Division Manager of Programming and Guest Relations Divisions (kathymoran@spja.org).

While my decision to depart is not an easy one, I wanted to let you all know it has truly been my pleasure and honor to work with each of you. Some of you I have known for a great many years, others only met recently, over the years I have considered myself blessed to have had the opportunity to work with you all and wish you nothing but success.

How does this affect the AMV Contest? Well I don't seriously expect them to let me continue to run it. SO, I have already picked my successor/s. I am awaiting final approval before announcing them. Expect that answer later this week.

I am deeply truly sorry for any inconvenience this may cause any of you.

Unless it's drama that affects the AMV competition directly, hopefully not. For now though, as I understand things, all remains status quo. The show will go on.
