Yaoicon 2012 Deadline Extended - Call for entries

Con schedule posted, AMV contest is at 1:30-3:30 on Sunday.

As many of you know this is not a feasible time to operate an AMV contest (on the afternoon of the last day). I ask that anybody seeing this message back me up and PLEASE send word to the con (use the contact info at www.yaoicon.com) and let them know that a contest runnign at this time is HIGHLY irregular and completely infeasible for a contest that still uses ballots and has to tally them to know the results.

Yeah, I'm doing my best to fix it - hopefully this can be adjusted prior to the con - I can think of several reasons that the contest can't be held that close to the end of the con.

Con is undergoing some changes right now so I'm willing to chalk it largely up to the growing pains. So I don't think it's a matter of trying to force me out or anything.

As far as ballots its generally between 500-800 (so were' ntot a large con by any means) but that's a hefty number to count especially when only four people are generally available to do it.

Finalists should be up sometime tommorow. Sorry, you would not believe how many crises I am running through right now. I basically have three jobs (two non-paid) and all of them have stuff that requires my attention this week. Nonetheless I expect to have finalists announced tommorow evening (keep in mind I live in California so those of you on the east coast will likely see the results some absurd time Thursday morning).
