Well, it is. The videos don't make me want to slit my wrists.

Hopefully my action vid which has some uplifting themes will keep you from doing so even if the drama category tends to be out like that.

Audio: 320 Kbps, 48,000 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo, MPEG
Video: 29.970 fps, 720x480 Lower field first, YUV, 6 Mbps
Pixel Aspect Ratio: 0.909

from wut i can see it matches the video part but i see nothing about the PCM Uncompressed. If I need to change something, please tell me.
Thought I'd go ahead and try to help, since I use Vegas too. Hopefully I'm understanding your problem correctly...?

You won't be able to select PCM uncompressed audio until you are setting up to RENDER your video. You're probably going to have to render again from your project file. This time, pay attention to the template and make sure you customize it. There will be 3 tabs of customization options: project, video, and audio; all of these options pertain to video specs., codecs, etc. Most of that should be pretty self-explanatory.
good luck~

I opened the Video in Vegas and copied the info of the video.

Maybe im just being paranoid, but since i only get 2 chances to submit, i wanna make sure its right the first time. I have the vid ready to go. Just wanted to get some questions answered before i enter. Thanks~
your settings should be fine. the PCM uncompressed is the most guaranteed stable audio version. however in the years since that was originally put in there the software has gotten alot better about keeping things synched with non uncompressed audio. Just don't pull any bizarro codecs and you should be fine. I will likely update that portion of the rules next year. Its mainly there for a "This is the absolutely most stable audio" reason. Sorry for the confusion. I haven't found a better way to word it yet.

alrite. Then im all set. Yeah i usually go with default settings unless i know how to customize it.

and i mean i know how to set it a pcm but i was scared to in teh event id end up with a like 5GB file size (Vegas is weird like that) All of my other contests had no problems viewing my video with these settings so it should work fine for you as well.

and with that out of the way, my next question would be do u take d/l links such as megaupload, etc or only mail-in and ftp submissions? Like i mentioned above in my previous post, i already have the video uploaded on megaupload with the link saved so i can send it immediately if need be. But if you dont then ofc i'll follow rules and send it via FTP. If thats the case then id like to request the FTP info now so i can send it in as soon as you are ready to go on your end. Thanks~

PS: oh forgot my email. lol. -facepalm- if u send FTP via pm my email is Valkyrian.Prod@gmail.com

As stated in the rules, services such as YouSendIt and Megaupload are fine. You just need to provide email me the link and snail mail your form in.

If it is already up on there I do have to ask this question. Is it up there full res? Remember that if it is 1/4 res (320X240) its going to be blown up (should it be selected as a finalist) to a HYUGE screen size. Artifacting from compression and pixelation stands out pretty strongly when shown at that size, even if the projector is somewhat forgiving. If we do it in Nokia Theatre again(still being determined) it will be on a HD LED Video wall and there is zero forgiveness from the system there. We want to make sure your videos are seen in as pristine a condition as possible. A little preparation ahead of time, such as submitting full res rather than 1/4, goes a long way to helping that and all it costs is a little less render time (since it isn't having to down sample) and a slightly larger file size.

I hope this helps.

yeah it does although im kinda of lost on it. But i think i see wut u mean. so instead of 1/4 res, i need to make it full res correct? the current video is 720x480 as mentioned earlier. But that still isnt full res correct? So i simply need to render the video at a larger resolution to i dont lose quality when its blown up on the big screen right? man i need to relearn this stuff. i only scratched the surface the first go around, then quit for awhile. Now that im getting back into it, its taking time to relearn it xD lol. Sorry for all the questions. Since im a beginner to contest/expos, im learning as much as i can as a start by entering as many as i can.

If your video is up at 720 X 480 then it is the right size. no worries.
