Animaritime 2008 Anime Music Video Showing and Contest!
Animaritime is celebrating its 5th year as the Anime and Gaming Convention of the Maritimes! Animaritime 2008 is being held in Moncton, New Brunswick, at the Delta Beausejour hotel from March 7th-9th.
Last year's AMV contest was a great success, and we hope to see even more entries this year! So get your programs running and speakers blaring, and prepare to share your creations with fellow anime and gaming fans!
And hey, you might just get some prizes too!
All entries must be received no later than Friday, February 29th, 2008. Entries can be submitted through mail or electronically. You will receive a confirmation email once your video has been received! :)

The contest deadline is creeping closer and I would love to see many more entries! It is not necessary to attend the convention in order to submit AMVs and old AMVs can be entered as long as they have not been shown at Animaritime before. So please feel free to submit your old and new favourites for a great chance to win some prizes! :)
AMV People’s Choice Award
This year a new category has been added to the contest so here’s a heads-up on how the AMV People’s Choice Award will be run this year.
The AMV contest will be held on Saturday. After the contest showing, attendees will have the opportunity to vote! The ballots, voting box and a list of AMVs entered into the contest will be made available at the Info Desk. The Info Desk location will be listed in the handy-dandy reg book, that will be handed upon entry to the convention. Voting shall remain open for the rest of Saturday until the convention closes for the night. The results will be tallied, and the winner will be announced at the closing ceremonies on Sunday. So try your best to attend, you might just be a winner! If you are unable to attend the convention, congrats will be sent to you via email and your certificate and/or prize will be mailed. :)
