Made by WMM ^^;

Post by Wished » Sat Jan 06, 2007 3:23 am

obv. youtube killed the quality, but these videos were made with WMM and I relly want opinions on how they are. [= I can't upload them again on a-m-v.org for a reason (although I don't wanna waste your time to explain why, but if you wanna know, sure).

I have more, but, in MY opinion, these were the best I've made (or spent most time on rather) so I wanted to know if I really put my effort in it, I could make WMM videos shine. :P heh, heh.

You can post two of your videos up also and I'll give an op. [:

*Just please don't say anything about the subs -.- You can most likely tell I used fansubs and junk..*

Well you asked if you relly put you effort in it - subs shows you didn't, because there is Virtual Dub and Virtual Dub Mod which are completely free and allow you to get rid of subs from hardsub footage. Moreover there is this neat Subtitle Removal Guide here on the org, if you find Virtual Dub too complicated to understand on your own.
That's why answer to your question is simple - you did not put enough effort if you did not at least crop the subtitles.

well like the other one said, yeah, the subs can be a little annoying. you should try Virtural Dubmod, it helps, especially if you're using wmm. the clips were good and some matched. i haven't seen the anime before so the full effect wasn't all there. if you were conserned about reusing clips you also could have slowed some down a little more, it would add.

just keep going and learning from ever new amv you make. its true the more you make the better you get. i'm not even that good yet and i've been doing this for about a year. the best advice i can offer is really match/sync the music with the video. you have to not only listen to the lyrics, but 'feel' what the music is saying, you can feel certian things from the beats. if the video gives you goose bumps when you watch it, then you know you've done a good job. keep up the good work!

here are a few of mine...i have a few more if you want to check them out its up to you...

Naruto- A Rookie Genius

Bleach- Number One (Version One

....this one got a lot of hits in a short time, but no opinions on it yet :(

I can't open a WMV file on virtualdubmod. And when saving it with WMM, I can only save it in some form that is not .avi, and converting it only converts half the video.. and removing subs from half the video wouldn't really be all that great huh.

I can't 'cause I deleted my AMVs on my comp. before even registering onto this site. ><; Well, I just got Vegas 6.0 anyways.. so no more WMM after I figure out how to use it.

thanks. for the opinion.

ive only watched a few episode of naruto, so yeah. i do get the main story though, and i have to say that the clips you used really fit with the music. just some of the scenes.. i couldnt tell what they were or what they were doing 'cause like another scene was transparent on top of it. ><but>< it's really hard to edit it like that, from what i see. Also, part of me didn't think the song really went with some of the scenes, but part of me does.

ah, nice part of it got cut off. D:

after the but part, it's supposed to be -- I really like the style you used for this AMV. [: it's really cool how there were animations in the panels. really unique, haven't seen many of those. part of the videos were sometimes leaking out of the video, but it's hard to edit it like that from what I see...

amv rule #1. always back up your finished product to either a CD/DVD or an external HD... and back up your back ups just in case?

O.o
I keep several back ups of my more recent videos, trust me its worth it.
Vegas 6.0 is easy once you get used to it (ive been using vegas products for almost 2 years now) just keep working on it and keep playing with it, it will do the job for you

well its great you got Vegas 6, it takes a while to adjust from wmm, but once you get it, its so much fun and you can do so much. i have 5 and i want to get 6 as soon as i can afford it. so now you don't have to worry about the virtural dubmod thing since vegas has a crop option.
