New HIGHLANDER Anime

Anyone else looking forward to it?
Its from the director of Ninja Scroll and Vampire Hunter D.
Comes out on DVD this Tuesday, and I will have me a copy by noon.

That character designs gives me a bad feeling

it received a good review in the premiere issue of Otaku USA magazine, which came out this week. I bought my copy today. It was 12.99 at best buy, I'll pretty much buy any anmie dvd impulsively if the price is low enough.

Remember, same guy that made Ninja Scroll, so I'm not surpised he looks like Genma with longer hair....so long as there's magic, and cliffs everywhere.

This Highlander anime didn't impress me all that much at all. They left us anticipating it to be big back at 2005 or earlier and when this came out. The animation wasn't all that revolutionary.

The same people who animated Ninja Scroll even used the same sword effect where you see Mcloud swing his sword right in front of the screen for example...just like Jubei did in Ninja Scroll, just like the chick who swinged her sword infront of the screen in The Animatrix: The Program

You see D do the same in VHD: Bloodlust, it's sort of a motif you see from them. Doesn't make it bad, though I admit in VHD: Bloodlust they tend to over-use it.
