Yeah.

My point was not that the sound exists, but that it's not R or L. It's neither. It's a unique sound in Japanese.

For example, "ら" may be romanized as "ra" or "la", depending on the preference of who is doing the romanization. Regardless of it's romanization, the way that it is pronounced is a shallow "ra" sound, in the front of the mouth, which gived it a slight "la" sound, but also a slight "da" sound. It's like a combination of "R" "L", and "D" - if you can imagine such a thing. Just listen to how the "R" sound is used in japanese in any anime.. you can hear the "D".

Now whether or not the official release favored "Arucard" was unknown to me, but I know that generally speaking, most people prefer "Alucard". Neither are wrong since his name would be spelled "アルカード" - wouldn't it? I'm pretty sure that's the spelling anyway

(romanized "arukaado")

On top of that, my comment was mostly mean as a joke about how, in the various hellsing fansubs that came out a while back, the groups and translators argued to know end about the spelling of his name. Some said "Alucard", some said "Arucard", some even said it was "Aacaado" or "Acard". It was a joke.

But it did give me an opportunity to flaunt me leet Japanese skillz.

Unless you're the lead singer of "Seikima III"... he's so weird. Listen to "Kokuu no Meikyuu" sometime (Theme song from the "Maze: Mega-Burst Space" TV series).. He makes it sound like a L sound... very very much so. He almost sounds like he's not japanese, or has a really REALLY weird accent.

I was more concerned with you knowing the correct information than you doubting that I knew it heh

It bugs me to no end if someone is out there with incorrect information talking about it like it's a fact... hehe... especially if I know exactly why its' wrong, etc... then I explain it.
