I was crying because they totally changed the ending of Kenshin (from the Manga) to something that was the total opposite of what really happened.
I think that you are in wrong ova. Reminescense is the first ova, which tells about Kenshin when he is still Hitokiri. It's Seisouhen which ends Kenshin.

And then back to topic, Ranma½ is pretty romantic. I like it really much.

I'd say in the beginning but I'd have to watch it again.

I dont think that they changed the ending too much...it was pretty similar to the manga ending, even if they kind of fast fowarded the timeline several years into the future. I just wish they had done a whole arc on the fights and stuff instead of two 30-45 min episodes. All in all I thought it was a fitting end to a series, even if it was a bit abrupt.

The best romance anime is by far Video Girl A.I. It's just amazing. But Voices of a distant star is also a great anime.

Whats Voices about?
I am the begining of every end and the end of time and space.
I am the begining of eternity and the end of every place.
What am I?

OK, I got both the movie and OAV version that, and I do not remember that happening at all. What am i missing here? I know there was an implied sex scene..but you dont see any of it take place.

Most of the ones I would list have been listed.

Still...

Fushigi Yugi
Tenshi ni Nuramon (I'm gonna be an Angel)
The original El Hazard OAV
Oh! My Goddess OAV
Kare Kano (His and Her Circumstances)

Metropolis certainly had a touching romantic theme in it.
Armitage III OAV had a nice romantic story element in it.
Ranma 1/2 is a good romantic comedy
Maison Ikkoku is also a good romantic comedy (from what I've seen)
I've only seen some of Chobits, but it looks like it has potential
Tenchi Muyo is also a good romantic comedy (the OAV was all I saw...and the movies)

Well...that's a start

Someone already corrected me on the OVA...if you are still referring to the *second* OVA like I am (Reflections in the US), it was *very* incorrect in the ending. First off, the manga for the "Revenge Arc" was 10 volumes this is roughly equivalent to 40 episodes. Obviously 2 OVA episodes is not this and cannot sum up even 5% of it.

*****KENSHIN SPOILER AHEAD*****

Secondly, have you even read the manga? The ending in volume 28 goes about 8 - 10 years into the future and Kenshin and Kaoru are married and have a baby named Kenji. Yahiko has grown into a respectable man and fights Kenshin...Kenshin gives him the sword (yeah i know some of this is in the OVA briefly).

At the end, Yahiko runs off into the horizon and Kaoru and Kenshin are standing together with their baby, happy, and they notice his scar is fading. That's it! That was the ending. It was happy and open-ended. There was no stupid war Kenshin went to or some disease he got. And most importantly he and Kaoru did not die.

So again, did you read the manga? Because the ending is QUITE different. I don't even consider the 2nd OVA as part of the true timeline since well...it's not.
