Actually the name of the town is Guri. It's mentioned once or twice in the show, and lots of times in the manga.

I remember there was a show that took place in Sapporo, Japan. Trying to remember if it was Gunparade March or Saikano.

Azumanga takes place in Tokyo, I think.

Chrno Crusade starts in New York City, has a brief jaunt to Boston, then heads over to San Fransisco. Oh, it also has a few scenes in upstate New York.

Gunnm, (Battle Angel) is in the Scrapyard, aka 'Scrap Metal City"

The city Laputa starts in is "Slagg's Ravine."

Princess Mononoke goes from the village of the enishi tribe to Irontown.

R.O.D. (ova) includes Washington DC, New York, Tokyo (Jinbochou), London, and India (Don't remember what city)

R.O.D tv has Tokyo, Hong Kong, London, Transylvania, another Chinese city (Capitol?) Some tiny town (John Smith's town), and the town with the Hot Springs.

Infinite Ryvius has Tokyo, Liebe Delta Space Station, and the Black Ryvius (Bratica).

Trigun has a lot. It's on planet Gunsmoke, the cities are May (Mai), Augusta, July, and a lot more I can't remember.

X is in Tokyo (Tokyo Babylon?)

Alpha's Cafe in YKK is north of Minami, and southwest of Kita; both of which are on the peninsula south of Yokohama.

I know Noir ends somewhere in the Pyranies Mountains, but not sure about the rest.

FLCL = Mabase

It honestly reminded me of the town I lived in up until 6 months ago. It even had a bridge that looked like the one where Naota first got hit by Haruko

I think the city in A.D. Police and the BGC shows is called Gennom City... but I'm not sure of the spelling.
