I found Lex Lang has an impressive vocal range. His site lists a staggering amount of accents and styles of talking. Like many anime dub voice actors, he has his high points and low points, however. Probably the high point being like Magic Knight Rayearth's Zagato and Lantis, and really low point being... Ken from Fist of North Star. *shudder* He's also the voice actor for Crim (Cream, Kurim??) from .hack//SIGN. He's also done a lot of trailer voices and promotional voice overs. The Matrix trailers voice overs are among the ones he has done.
I guess there's times when you love this guy and times when you just can't stand him. But you've got to admit he has real talent to be able to pull off all the roles he's been in.

I disagree. I just liked the Japanese better as a whole, but the dub wasn't bad. The Japanese VA for Anderson is just so crazy, he was much better than the dub's VA. Plus I liked Alucard a little better as well.Stoic wrote:Damn Straight! The Dub was way better and for that reason alone the entire english cast of Hellsing Deserve a round of applause.BishounenStalker wrote:4) Victoria Harwood -- The only anime voice she's done so far is Integra of Hellsing, but I absolutely love her voice. Heck, I like all the voices of the Hellsing dub better than the original (Japanese trying sound British is just frightening). But for some reason Harwood just stands out.
The best effects are the ones you don't notice.

On a random note about these two:BishounenStalker wrote:No flames! So sue me, I happen to like English voice actors better than the Japanese voices sometimes.
Anyway, here go my top picks for English VAs (in order):
1) David Kaye -- It completely blew my mind how versatile this man is. He's jumped from Mr. Tendo in Ranma 1/2 to Sesshoumaru in Inuyasha to Wakagi in Key the Metal Idol to Treize Khushrenada in Gundam Wing. Not to mention doing a stint on Knight Rider as K.A.R.R. for one episode ("K.I.T.T. vs. K.A.R.R."), and Megatron in Beast Wars. More info, go here.
6) David Lucas -- Cowboy Bebop's Spike Spiegel and Big O's Roger Smith, to the voice of Toonami's CGI mascot, Lucas is one of those voices that you hear everywhere, but don't stop to think about until you look him up on IMDB. He's got the right mix of smoothness and emotional range to pull off his roles, plus a great narrator to voice Tom.
They also both did quite well in the role of Char Aznable
Anyways, so far the only other one I can think to add to this list (though I'll probably be beaten to death for it)
Chris Sabat (Yeah, I know, Funimation is evil and all that, but you've gotta admit, considering he manages to pull off at least 8 different characters on DBZ without making them sound too much alike you've got to give him some credit)

I think David Hayter's a good voice actor. I'm only aware of two of his roles: Spike from Bebop and Snake from MGS, but he pulls off both of the characters perfectly and really gives them character I didn't feel in the Japanese voices. Although to be honest, unless any of us speak fluent Japanese it becomes difficult to accurately judge the ability of Japanese voice actors, we only get an impression of what they're like.

I also like what she did as Deedlit in Records of the lodoss wars.

I have actually met Tiffany Grant.... I didn't know who she was, until she opened her mouth, then my head exploded into grey and red chunks. Flame me and whatnot, but I fucking hate her voice...
