Marmalade Boy was around 75 eps.

And it is 13 eps to a season. So what series are more than 4 seasons (52 eps).
I've said this before, there's a separate japanese term for a 2-season/26ep stretch. Anyone know this term?
Magic Knights Rayearth sorta did, it had 3 separate OPs but was only 49 eps. Ep. 1-20 were the first two seasons, 21-39 the second 2, and 40-49 the last one... I think (numbers around season 4 and 5 I think is wrong).

13 eps is for 1/2 a season. 26 is a full season.

Most shoujou series tend to go on for longer than two seasons, but aren't as popular with the "typical NA anime fan," so they don't get noticed as much.

Most of this is just due to logistics. Shounen is much more plot oriented. A single plot can only last so long. Shoujou is character oriented. For a new season, just plop the characters in a new situation and tadah! No problems.

Not to say there's anything wrong with, say, Eva. But the audience can only ponder its meaning for so long before going insane...

Nope, think about it, anime episodes are pumped out on a weekly schedule, there's 52 weeks to a year, 4 seasons in a year, it is 13 eps to a season.
Again, there's the term for a 2-season/26-ep stretch that I cannot find anywhere >.<. Man I wish I wrote it down when I saw that.

What about Macross and Space Battleship Yamato? I believe those both had two seasons or more.
Speed Racer, I think, had two or more seasons as well.

Dragon Ball GT was 64 episodes I think.

hmmm...I think Hamtaro also had 2 seasons or more as well.

Didn't One Piece also last 2 seasons?

One Piece is still going on I think and is well over 2 seasons long.

Urusei Yatsura had over 200 episodes.

Oh yeah, some more series came to mind:

Akazukin Cha Cha - 74 episodes

Astro Boy - the old 60s series definitely had more than 2 seasons

City Hunter - There were 2, maybe 3, TV series. So combined that goes over 2 seasons (definitely more than 100 eps).

Dr. Slump - Another Toriyama show that had a long run. I'm not sure how long, but definitely at least 2 seasons worth. I know there are 2 Dr. Slump series at any rate...

Touch - 101 eps

Slam Dunk - 101 eps (hmmm, I'm wonder what's with sports anime and 101 episodes...)

Sazae-san - It's been going on since the 60s.

I'm not sure but i think Big O is going to have at least 3 series. its in the second one and it hasnt made any kind of thought of an ending or something like that.

I do recommend it if you like giant robot battles and really cool looking graphics!
