Very nice, Kaji.
NME... you suck. But I don't mean that to be offensive. That's against the site rules. So take it to mean whatever you want.
Eva rocks. If something can be interpreted to mean something more than is shown to your eyes, take it to mean something more. If you're too shallow to go beyond what the picture is flashing at your eyes, move back to DBZ or some other craptastic action fest.
And if you have a problem with Eva, have a problem quietly or start your own thread about it. Then, all you Eva haters can revel in your hatred and act like you are indeed almighty.
Milo's not being very elitist. You just want him to be so that you can rant about him yet again. Quit it out.

Well, I guess it's a good thing my eva collection is on VHS. (close captioned, and not subbed will wonders ever cease? So since I didn't buy the Eva collection on DVD I can wait for the remastered versions. Watch in a few more years a remastered remastered edition comes out... and for some other media format that's even better than DVD and then me will be "Doh!"

Amen! I think you and I are in the minority though . Actually, I believe I've discussed Eva with you offline a few timesI really hope Gainax doesn't do a prequel to Evangelion. It doesn't need one... the TV series is a complete show that gets its message across with great power.
The movie only detracted from that. A new EVA sereis will further detract.
The surface story takes all of its religious references from the Khaballa, but the main storyline is more routed in psychology and philosophy.

Yes, that's why I think Eva is an "uplifting" show rather than depressing, which some people believe. In the end, Shinji rejects his false and happy reality and chooses to live his life. Kind of weird coming from Anno Hideki, but still nice. BTW I don't think he rejects third impact since it already happened, but chooses not to be part of the...goo or whatever.omg I just today saw that shinji does reject 3rd impact in both the tv ending and movie ending
omgomg
good call milo

don't bother answering the previous, my mistake. i'll just go quietly in the corner and shoot myself for not reading the entire message.
Anyway, whats wrong with prequels, Bubblegum Crisis had a prequel, A.D Police ( watching it at the moment in fact) that turned out okay.

Well although a prequel may answer some of the background questions, as Uncle Milo stated, I also believe that Evangelion ends nicely and regardless of not knowing the beginning (that well) I think it gets the point across.don't bother answering the previous, my mistake. i'll just go quietly in the corner and shoot myself for not reading the entire message.

In fact, I've heard the End of Evangelion was never meant to be, but the fans demanded it. I've *heard* that Anno liked the original more psychological ending, but the fans cried out for more.
I would hate for them to screw it up (because it's possible). I guess "If it ain't broke, why fix it?" But then again, I'm a pessimist heh.

Yes, I also agree that there should not be a sequel or a prequel. I like it as it is. A prequel would be a little less bad though.
