A got a rather convincing theory to support that one from a friend of mine, who is a girl (insert gasp shock and total surprise here).TheRealNeoHentaiMaster wrote: all girls are secrectly bisexual. You know its true, dont deny it.

Oh man...when I first heard Nick had hired Jhonen Vasquez I did a doubletake (having reading JTHM, Squee, and Anything Can Be Beaten) the fact they didn't know says something on their part (then again, it's that kind of unknowing which likely caused crap like Rocket Power on there in the first place)...kind of sad since that stands as the only current nicktoon I can actively laugh atBishounenStalker wrote:Yes! Must hail ZIM, too! I'd have to say that was probably the STUPIDEST thing Nickelodeon did besides picking up Rocket Powered. And I think it's because they had no clue what they were getting into (if they had freaking READ Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, I doubt they would've asked Vasquez to write a cartoon). Sort of the same reason Disney canned Gargoyles way back when. But at least ZIM got a better write off. I try to pretend the third season of Gargoyles never happened >.>
True...there are sometimes where rape (or sometimes just sex in general) is stuck in by the author just for the sheer Hell of it when it has no real purposeI'll have to admit that's true. But on the other hand, if the rape isn't really part of the plot or character development, then it can seem like option b, or just plain gratuitous and pointless (though I wonder if there's hardly a difference between the two).
I'll agree, the films have done a good job all around so far and things are looking good on the third (yeah, the shield bit was pretty damned cool, granted I'm still a sucker for "Toss me...don't tell the elf!")I'm also getting slightly sick of Legolas. I know he's a cult favorite because of the movies (which I've been duly impressed with), but come ON! There are other awesome characters in this monster trilogy besides him! I guess you could say I don't have a problem with the character (love that skateboarding on the shield stunt in TTT!), but with the idiot fans.
Hell, I find the fandom especially funny since, from what stories I've heard Tolkien described him as the least important member of the fellowship (and looking them over at the end of the book, I can see what he means...everyone seems to undergo some sort of change but him...he's just kind of there...even Boromir seemed to serve more purpose to the story in his brief time)
I see what you mean though...the character I was kind of neutral to before...but between the hordes of fans and the number of bad fanfics that pop-up involving him, some of the annoyance is starting to spill over to the character that started it.
Ah well...
