I'm not so sure about this one..

Then again I don't watch any anime on CN.

Not that it should be on Adult Swim so it doesn't get editted as much (since it's not a very violent show), but I mean, a younger audience is gonna have a hard time understanding this show. Hell I find it hard to follow sometimes.. Unless they totally decide to americanize the hell out of it.

It's just in time for the game release too :O

Uhh, I dont think this is true since to my knowlage .Hack hasnt even been picked up by an american distributor yet, so I dont think its gonna be ready to be on CN in less than a month, but who knows, maybe the news just got past me. Also, im pretty sure theyd put it on Adult Swim, all anime CN gets now is put there. Toonami is pretty much all american stuff and DBZ now.

I saw a while back that Bandai picked up rights to .hack//sign. On the listing of anime previews that's on a promotional DVD that was given out during Otakon 2002 by Bandai it has .hack//sign at the top as the very first anime series listed on the left side of the listing.

I'm actually hopeful on this one. Though I only got to ep... 8? I thought that you really wouldn't have to change anything (that I've seen so far). There's no blood, no nudity, no vulgar language, it can easily get away with being put on N.American TV. Don't even have to change the opening either, it's in english, heh.

o.O I have the same reaction as you, .hack the dull show, followed by DBZ! I mean I love it but if it wasn't so cerebral and sherlock holmesiesh I'd beleive you but.... I. don't. know...

This anime is freaking TOUGH. I watched the first 4 episodes (I rented them from the local video store) and I can tell you that if the original is ANYTHIGN like the original Japanese version the kids will be reaching for the remote when it comes on. Its just to complicated for young children, and while Im not Japanese, I understand pretty much everything up to a 14 year old conversational level. That said, I was lost, so I can promise results to all of you teens, but for the average CN goer, I think it might flop (unless they super simplify it, something that I wouldnt put past CN)

Ack, I hope they don't simplify this series. I like watching dubs instead of trying to read the subs all the time. I'm not a fast reader and subs sometimes fly by too quickly for me to read em. Playback just makes a series loose its feel, so do bad dubs, argh the horror.

That said, I've already watched the entire series which does have a lotta concepts and in depth characterization. It starts off very slowly, but picks after awhile. Even if kids don't understand what the characters are talking about they can still enjoy the great soundtrack and visuals.

Other then that I'm still debating whether this will be popular or not withen the time slot they put it in.

God, I hope they don't screw up the dub too much, I would love to enjoy watching it for a change.

i'm still watching hack sign..and i can't wait 4 da ps2 game to come out>
hack sign is so cool..it makes sense to me because i'm an "rpg'er"..i'll have to watch it all over again so i can make sense of the ending..but its still sweet!
