I read that Manga Entertainment got the rights for R.O.D., does anyone know when it might be released

Hopefully, soon. The digital font they used for radio on the third ep fansub is horrible to read.

Thats a good question, but an even better question, will the Read or Die DVD even work.......I remember that little incident with EOE.....Redfusion X remembers also.....

I remember that, and I hope that Read or Die does not
My Bad copy of End of Eva had what looked like an air bubble in a section of the disc.
Also, hopefully they get a good Voice Actress for Readman, her Japanese VA was all too perfect

Watch out, cause Manga entertainment is turning this wonderful 3 episode OVA into a movie. Not sure if you guys care about that, but a lot of fans I've seen talk about it were outraged by that news.

If nothing is cut out... it doesn't really change much. It's short enough a seires to be so, so having the OP/ED once instead of 3 times is something that doesn't really bother me. I have doubts and fears about anything Mangle does though. Remember the X/1999 Movie (that was fucking awful)

Second, I have the Japanese version, and it is the same, not that I like Manga Ent. (I liked what they did w/ Macross Plus and Patlabor I), they left X/1999 unchanged

Well, I've seen both versions (fansub + domestic), but anyway, I am fully aware that the movie was made before the manga was finished, they wanted to release it before 1999 had come and gone, but doing a movie, with an unfinished story, in a time span format way way WAY too short to do the story justice... is just plain stupid.
