Unfortunately, I'm not the one in charge of the website or receiving submissions, so I can't offer technical advice for uploading extremely large videos. Also, the website doesn't seem to list any mail-in methods. My suggestion would be to send an e-mail to amv@animemetro.com and ask for an alternate method of getting your video to them. I'm quite sure they'll make whatever arrangements they can to help you get your video in.

what? 12 hours before the deadline my connection kept resetting when I was trying to send my 2nd entryIcyCloud wrote:Got mine in on Saturday, about 4 hours before the deadline. Now that was a close one.![]()

edit: looks like the submit button has been taken out. For the most part, I've been constantly trying to to upload the video between saturday and now and it keeps getting resetted... I did upload 2 entries before but I deleted one for sake of a new one that I thought I wouldn't get finished.. laaaame..

Big news, guys!
The contest has been extended!
Long story short, Mr Metro found a bug in the upload system that was preventing the upload of extremely large files, or causing issues when a lot of people tried to upload at the same time. He recoded everything and now the upload feature is back!
You now have until June 15th to upload your videos. It's not a huge extension but if you already have videos finished and just weren't able to upload them, now is your chance! Please don't wait til the last minute, because this will most likely be the last chance.

So, basically, the "Any" category means "I can't decide, choose one for me"? Because I don't know if mine would go better in Drama or Technical Editing.
And does "MASTER'S CATEGORY (winning AMV at other cons)" mean that the video has to have won at other cons already, or just that the person submitting it has won stuff at other cons before?
Also, how much black leader do you need before and after each video, if any?

Yeah, I was wondering why they put "Technical Editing" as a category.Scintilla wrote: So, basically, the "Any" category means "I can't decide, choose one for me"? Because I don't know if mine would go better in Drama or Technical Editing.

at Metrocon, Master's Category means the video has won at a previous con.
Maybe it doesn't matter? B/c they play the AMVs in a set playlist in windows media player(well.. they did in 2005, I can't remember if they did in 2006)

... I left my video uploading over last night. Now I come back to check on it and I can't get through to www.metroconventions.com -- all my pings are timing out. Is it just me or is the server down?
