What all do you play?
I'm just curious as to what instrument some of you started out on, and all the insturments you know how to play, and what you think your best at?
I started out on the guitar, I play piano / Keyboard

Mostly the tuba but I imagine I could play any valved brass instrument with some practice; they all pretty much work the same way. Trombone wouldn't be out of the question either but it's a bit harder to get the positions down.
If only tubas weren't like $5000 and up I'd buy one.
Can only play piano one-handed, I've never bothered to learn how to use both hands at once so far.

Everything below was self taught, no books, just a few instructions to get me started then a lot of research..
Instruments:
Piano: 10 years + (full time to casual now)
Drums: 2 years (casual)
Rythim Gutar: 2 months (casual)
Bass Guitar: 1 year (full time)
Vocals:
Trebel/Bass Choir: 3 years (past time during high school)
Trebel/Alto: 5 years (very on and off probably works out to 4 months in total )
Death Metal: 5 years (full time)
Grind Core: 3 years (full time)
So out of all that? I play bass and growl.

Surprising that I see no Sousaphones listed (though I guess the tuba is pretty close)badmartialarts wrote:Mostly the tuba but I imagine I could play any valved brass instrument with some practice; they all pretty much work the same way. As for me, um, I played some trumpet and trombone in middle school, but I've pretty much forgotten a lot of the trombonage.

Started with a piano several years ago. I quit because I wasn't enjoying it. I didn't play any instruments until I got into high school. I started playing the French Horn and, again, didn't really enjoy it. I was begged to stay for my sophomore year and I compromised by going into the Intermediate band. Seeing as I didn't want to do marching band, I quit much to my teacher's dismay. I just hope he doesn't hold it against me for the next two years.

I play guitar. Every once a couple of weeks.
As I enjoy weird/experimental music, I'm far too fascinated with the sounds the thing can make to ever advance in proper musicology. As such... eh.
A real shame since my father is a guitar virtuoso and has been a professional musician for a living ever since I can remember. But he just couldn't teach me, mostly due to his lack of patience with me

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
