A n00b Question

I sound retarted asking this,since im sure all of you will know this,Lol,but wuts 29.97 Fps mean,like what do the numbers stand for,and the "fps" part of it,i probubly should know this,but could someone please tell me

btw,i couldent find a "question" type of forum or anything,so....im posting it here i guess :? :?

FPS=Frames per second. It a measure of how fast the individual pictures are shown. For example 24 FPS is 24 images in a second.

oh gosh :|

29.97 frames per second. That means that... a video plays at the rate of 29.97 frames per second.

This is the standard NTSC frame rate. NTSC is a video standard used in North America. Generally footage in this standard it is also interlaced and requires deinterlacing.

PLEASE check the guides. They explain everything.

Technically, there is no motion in video. It's all an illusion :P

Otherwise this is the FPS of the footage, not of the animation neccesarily. Most animation is slower than that.

But PLEASE check the guides again.

No. You could have a hundred frames and still have nothing change. or the image could change from one frame to the next.

But like Oto says, check the guides, seriously, dew it.
