Anime in English on DVD

Post by Elkai » Sun Aug 05, 2007 8:46 pm

Ok i didnt really know what to name this thread cause i wasnt sure how i was to go asking about it but would anyone consider me weird if i said that even if i hire a DVD of an anime series and it has english vocals, yet i still turn on the Japanese Audio and subtitles, Does this make me odd? lol. Maybe i just find the English dialogue in alot of anime kind of dishearting. Does anyone do the same thing ^^;; or am i odd o.O

Well.. In many cases the english voice acting is horrendous, But I can usually stomach it as an alternative to reading.

No, it does not make you special in the least. Tons of animé fans do the exact same thing.

And the last thing we need around here is another pointless subs vs. dubs thread.

No, the odd thing is that you seem so insecure about this? Who cares what other's think about it? If you wanna watch it in japanese, it's your business. But if it makes you feel better, most people do the same thing.

Can't stand dubs, so =/

The only friend of mine that listens to them is legally blind, so he has an excuse.
