Ideas are one of the last things that I usually make solid. I don't have any ideas currently for videos that are not hentai using 80s music, well, that fit your 1 anime criteria. I'm interested none-the-less.
Though I do wonder, if your own system only does 1280x720 and this is what you will pull the project together with, wouldn't this then make any normal video look awful? Especially considering normal anime from dvd footage is 640x480 (if we're working with square pixels.)

Hmm...
Well... I have to look into the program a little more, but I'm sure I could find a way to make it the size we need. Might take a little maneuvering though.
Alright, I'll take out the one anime per person, alright? That should help some people.
As far as 80's anime goes, If you want to fine, but there have been some great anime shows of late and I don't want to hurt anybody's creativity. Plus, I don't have any myself, nor do I know of any. I'm not sure if the original dragonball might have come out in the late eighties, but its before my time anyway.
Yes, I was also born in the 90s but love the 80s!

ever since the last retro MEP (U_queen's)was shot down in flames, I've still wanted to do one.
But honnestly If you want to do this then do it properly, accepting lossless .avi's only and applying your own post processing, all footage deinterlaced(fergot if that was up there). put a time limit on tracks, whether widescreen should be letterboxed or cropped etc.
I'd like to use Roxette song TBA (am waiting to see if this gets off the ground) or cindy lauper in a pinch. Anime maybe armatige (fit's with "the look" and "girls just wanna have fun")
Also I'm not even gonna start untill December at least.
If you like you can handle all the project coordination work and I can put it together for you much like I'm doing for the SOAD2 MEP. As long as you make the credits. I can also make the final project into h.264 and .avi (xvid) and host it if it's too large. Since I accept Huffyuv/Lagarith/Uncompressed final segments .wav for audio this would give you a MUCH better quality final product than accepting Xvids as finals and resizeing and recompressing again.
anyway just some suggestions and an offer, PM me if you wanna discuss.

Yes, it actually is from 1986.Paper_Bard wrote:I'm not sure if the original dragonball might have come out in the late eighties, but its before my time anyway.
I should suggest, more than just talking about technical issues you must also fit some rules, for example, ask for no overused anime, give time extension for each clip (I suggest you less than a minute). Also, you must have by now an idea of how you want to make the final project; do you want to make sepated clips or you want to make a mix? How many editors will you accept? Do they have to have special characteristics? Which length you want the project? If you have problems with your editing program then try a shorter project, and get sure you have enough disc space >.<
Can you get a general idea of the feeling you want to give the watchers with the video? Make your video well-balanced, if you get most of the clips sad or nostalgic you will annoy your public (self experiece ).
I don't want to scare you, I would really like to see this come out. By now I won't participate but if you need any help send me a pm
