Well My Friend's B-day Is Here I Made This Video Just For Her I Hope She Likes It The Story Is About A Girl Named Suzuna Who is Brought To The House of Her Half Alive Mother To Meet Her Future Husband. Suzuna Doesn't Seen To Like This Guy But As Time And Days Go By She Starts To Change The Way She Feels About Him But She Is Not The Only One Tomomi Starts Falling In Love With Suzuna.At The Time Suzuna Seen To Be Confuse About Her Feeling For Hayama.Hayama Wakes Up In A Cave Behind A WaterFall When He Wakes Up He Sees A Girl Named Mizuna That Looks Like Suzuna.But She Is Mute But That Doesn't Stop. Hayama From Coming To See Her.As He Heads Outside He Finds Tomomi Outside As He Was Making His For Tomomi Suzuna Shows Up And Finds Him With Her To As She Was Watching Them She Can't Take It Anymore And Runs Off Into The Night As She Goes To Her Room Tomomi Shows In Her Roon But She Runs Away From Her As Well The Next Day. Suzuna Goes Outside By The Waterfall To Water Her Hair But Then She Hears Someone Behind Her She Goes Over To Check It Out And Finds Hayama With Mizuna And She Starts Thinking That He Is Just Toying Around With Her She Gets Jelous.She Meets Up With Him And Tells Him That She Wants To With Him Even If Him Likes Mizuna.That Pretty Much It I Hope You Like My First Romance Amv

I didn't really like it, sry :/ The first thing I noticed was the visual quality that was just plain bad. I suggest taking a look at the tech guides here on the org. Plus, you shouldn't let the subtitles come into the picture. Try to cut them out for your next project if you use downloaded footage

On the video itself, there's much you can do with syncing to rock songs but this video mostly felt out of sync. Occasional beat sync doesn't really do it for me, even if the footage looks interesting. I see you tried some sync tricks such as the flashing, which is cool but doesn't really make the video work as a whole.. There wasn't much other sync in here, or at least I couldn't see that, because the music and the clips seemed too disconnected..

There was some coherency in the story though as far as I could tell. I haven't seen the anime but this video had some focused scenes that I liked (conceptually) Unfortunately the sync - or more appropriately the lack of one - killed the video for me.. Didn't really dig that, sry :/

I've already covered this, almost a year ago in a journal entry I wrote. In case you missed it:

Now, I'm a huge GGD fan. They're probably my favorite band next to Toad The Wet Sprocket (who will be getting more attention from me, AMV-wise). But "Iris"? Come on. That song sucks. It used to be good, and then it got extremely overplayed and I got sick of it. Now, that's probably the reason it has so many entries, but The Goo Goo Dolls deserve more representation than THAT. I mean, there are a ton of other good songs on Dizzy Up The Girl...and I'm going to naively assume that if you're using the song "Iris", you have the CD Dizzy Up The Girl. Come on - where are AMVs with "Hate This Place"? Only ONE AMV with "Bullet Proof"? (That'd be a really good one to use). And what about "Extra Pale"? (Could be used in a parody AMV to great effect [considering the lyrics], if the right editor picked it up). Come on. NO songs from Superstar Car Wash? Ugh.

Reminder to self: Make a good Goo Goo Dolls AMV with a song that's NOT "Iris".

Besides Greg, you already made a non-"Iris" GGD video, you shouldn't resent anything.

Sorry, didn't mean to derail the thread, I just think the Goo Goo Dolls deserve more love.
