When it's in the making, I watch it so many times that I cannot get the song out of my head. When it's complete, I usually end up loving the song all over again and will watch it pretty frequently, maybe 3-5 times a week for the next few weeks. After all that, I can no longer hear the song without thinking of my AMV and that means it will probably be ages before I actually watch it again.

I re watch my video's so much during editing already that as soon as I finish something I'll skip out on it for a while before actually going to watch it again. Other then that I re watch my video's once every 2 months or so. Just to see if I've progressed enough for myself I guess. Thou I generally hate my own video's as soon as I've finished them or are near completion.

2 video's I still tend to skip to this very day would be Ikasuas well as F.E.A.R. for some weird reason I have a hard time explaining. Now I mean Ikasu I can get as it really is a failure on its own regardless of my personal opinion. But people eat F.E.A.R. up and ask for seconds. Yet the video just feels so bland compared to my current standards.. So I guess the moral of this almost completely useless post would be the fact that people's standards get higher [or in some cases lower...] as they progress. Thus leaving them bittered after watching products from the past. As most people will always feel as if [omg cliché] "it could have been so much better".

So with that said and done.. I need a drink.

When I'm done editing a video, I don't ever want to see it again. Watching it again only reminds me of every little mistake and fuckup along the way, and I can't help but nitpick all my little errors.

As sad as it may be, I actually made a playlist of all the amv's i've made and I watch it all the way through to see how much i've improved and what i still need to improve on. Such as my first 3 vids had subs in them, which i no longer do. I have to agree with alot of people when they say they were custom made for thier tastes, just as mine are custom made for my own tastes.

Why is it sad? Note: That's a rhetorical question, not really aimed at you in particular.

.

Anyone else find it ironic that on a forum where people tout "make what you want" and "do it because you like it" there are people in this thread who feel obligated to apologize for watching their own vids? That people are using a "to see if I've improved" disclaimer like they need an excuse for watching?

As if it's shameful to admit you're good at pleasuring yourself.

Don't apologize, just think how much luckier you are than the ones with numb wrists and hours of effort with no payoff. That's gotta be a little frustrating.

Mh.. Thinking about it, quite Rarely.

I usually put my 'latest video' on loop for some days while I'm at my computer, but normally I prefer to watch other's. If I have to watch mines, there has to be the right mood. :)
