Work in Progress. Last minute details?
Okay, I'm just about ready to unleash this upon the world but I need to know if there are any last minute details you think I should change.
No major revamping of the entire video. Don't suggest anything that can't be done under 30 minutes. I'm done with this video.
And feel free to leave a comment as well
This will work just like an op exchange for the first 2 people. Leave a comment and link to your vid. And I will leave an op.

Damn. That was one of the best WMV encodes that I've ever seen. THe video quality actually looked about half-way between an AVI and MP4 Compression.
Anyway, here's my thoughts.
#1: It's an action Naruto video. It's already going to be docked points on originality. I liked the conceptuality of the video as a whole, and I think the various styles of editing and effects really added to the overall story, but I'm just saying that most people won't even download it from the site based on the source material and footage. Note that I said "most".
#2: I loved the editing. The little spinning light towards the end was really neat, and I loved the high speed action during that part. I didn't like where you inverted the colors. Then again, I think that effect is just awful, and I think it takes away from the overall video.
#3: It's just a random assortment of action video scenes to a really high paced song. I know that's usually what an action video encompasses, is non-stop action and little to no storyline ("most videos"). But sometimes I just wondered what exactly I was watching.
#4: For me, the reviewablity was pretty damn high. The band is new to me, and the source material looks to be an interesting sequel to a series I often-on watch. Plus, while it was totally random, I loved the assortment of scenes.
#5: While I think that most (note I said "most") people will immediately ignore the video due to the encoding in WMV, the video and audio quality were actually pretty high. Maybe at least encode it in XVid and put it in an AVI container, which would grant a wider audience. Or if you are really daring, try ZarxGui and encode in mp4! Guides to that are on our site's main page in the guides section.
Literally scoring this video, I would give it 4.25/5.00
-.50 : Lack of coherent plot
-.25 : Inverted color effect that took away from production.

Yea, the only reason I used WMV is cause it's the only way I can get Sony Vegas to export properly other than doing an uncompressed avi which is like a gig in size :/
But as CodeChrono said it came out lookin pretty nice so I figured why bother?
(I tried exporting to mpg4 and it gave me a 10 gb file 0.o)

ACtually, here is the overall process.ashes0 wrote:Yea, the only reason I used WMV is cause it's the only way I can get Sony Vegas to export properly other than doing an uncompressed avi which is like a gig in size :/

From Vegas : Export As uncompressed video (This should be large)
Use VirtualDubMod : Open the uncompressed video. Compress From VirtualDubMod as HuffyYuv
Use Zarx264Gui : Make an avisynth script and import video. Also import your audio here.
Hit Encode : This will make a Mp4, which should be a really low file size (lower than what you have now)
If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

u can even render as uncompressed, compress to xvid, put it back in your software, render as huffy and then put it in WMM, save as wmv and then use Directshowsource to turn the wmv via avisynth into mp4 =O (I wouldnt recommend that though O.o)Ghet wrote:the options are endless =OKevmaster wrote:or turn the uncompressed into mp4...Ghet wrote:you can also export from vegas as a huffy or a lag =O
