Looking for an anime

I'm looking for an anime to watch. Could somebody recommend a good anime? Preferably a romance. Something along the same lines as Kano(2006) and Clannad.

NO hentai

NO yaoi, yuri, shonen ai, or shojo ai (unless it's only part of story and not the main focus of the story)

Some stupid idiot on the video site I use for anime just spoiled the ending for Air. He pisses me off!

Oh thank you. I needed somebody else to say something like that. I knew I'd be depressed trying to watch the anime knowing how it ends. Now I'm curious and intrigued.

I bought Air TV. Actually bought it.

If the ending bothers you, I suggest giving up anime.

Do you know the guy doesn't always get the girl. The girl doesn't always get the guy. Some people actually die in anime (this isn't north American style cartoons).
There are actual REAL bad people in anime. They are not always comedies.
Japanese schoolgirls actually all have black hair.
Homosexuality actually does exist.
Contrary to what may seem to be the case, Japanese people actually do have sex organs.
Gravity exists in Japan, you can't really leap as far as they appear to do.
When thrown into a wall all that happens is you get a concussion and broken bones. The wall is ok.
If a Japanese person hits you, you don't actually end up in orbit or on the other side of town.
