Now to wait for confirmation...then the agonizing wait for the List! haha
I got your vids and tried to send confirmation but yours is one of the ones I had difficulty reading. the email (as I read it and entered it ) bounced.
But since you are here. YES I got your vids and was able to view them.

I sent it out last Friday so it should be in by now.
Will you still be sending FTP access out today?
That is how I requested my video upload.

In any case thanks for the updates.
I sent you an email about this this morning.
Suggestion for next year, if we keep the FTP option (and I am SERIOUSLY considering ditching it after all the issues we had with it) request the FTP info via direct email it will get you the info much quicker than snail mail. :)

when will the semifinalist be posted?
Anticipate the list being posted late May at the earliest but likely first week of June.

We have a lot of conversion and normalizing of audio to do. Then we have to have the judges screening which likely won't be till memorial day weekend due to scheduling issues.

as soon as we have it it will go out I promise. :)

lol My bad, I kinda messed up when I was writing it. Probably should write it all in caps since some people get confused that those are L's around the H. xD

Thank you!

Many of us in the AMV community have a large fear about this contest and that fear does not involve problems or failure. Our fear involves success. If AX 2008 is the first successful AMV contest after many years in the eyes of the AMV community we will lose a very important tradition of post-AX AMV contest drama.

If AX can no longer maintain its underdog role in AMV contests I will be happy for the success of DigitalPanther and his staff but I will also be somewhat saddened that a long held tradition in the online AMV community may come to and end.

For the staff there is probably the same fear that any other AMV staff faces. If the contest is successful you may very well have to come back and do it all again next year. This is a dangerous thing and can consume massive amounts of productivity that could otherwise be spent playing World of Warcraft or something that has worth instead of these stupid AMVs.

Good luck to all of those who entered :)

Ummmm wow... I have no words to appropriately respond to that LOL.

Though I have actually managed to balance this and my WoW playing. Of course I am not as addicted as many I know. after 3 years of playing I am only just now getting one character close to 70 and she is the only of my 13 plus toons that is over lvl 50. I guess I just suck at being an addict. ;)

You will have to forgive me if i don't lose sleep over depriving the community of some Drama....now watch...now that I have said that all hell will break loose. Quick need some wood to knock on <raps>

I'm kinda worried. :/

I sent my entries on April 30th at 12 noon for overnight delivery. But, like Night's, my handwriting sucks. XD I hope the vids arrived and people are able to read my handwriting. ^^;
