My knowledge of "girly" anime like Kannon is quite limited so I cant really think of any titles from that genre that will fit the theme.

About your list, I don't think Saikano fits, I mean, it has sad moments but nothing is explicit; the same case with Tsukihime (the blood is black O_O). But I trust your skill so, it's just a comment.

I've never actually seen She the ultimate weapon, I keep thinking of that scene where she's transformed and there's billowing smoke and ashes from the destroyed world/city.. it's in allot of videos. But thinking back on it yeah your right it doesn't quite fit. Tsukihime... I've seen a few vids to and it can be made gothic... ahem not that it will be me using that source
