I assume that you're, of course, referring to the balls that have taken the place of the AMV contest in the main event hall Friday night at AUSA the past two cons.VicBond007 wrote:Smaller cons have bigger ballsNightMistress85 wrote:Some of those videos would have been a definite no go at larger cons...

In 2007, the Main-Events AMV contest was Saturday as well. 2006, yes, it was in main events on Friday. This year we just had so many special acts that the only time I could get a Main Events showing was 8:30am Saturday, even with the speed-cosplay. I didn't unpack my binder yet but I think we got maybe 30 people by the end of that screening, but hey, at least we started on time unlike some other headlining act that shall not be named, and hopefully that will convince the Live Events staff to be a bit more accomodating next year. I try to not be too pushy though because AUSA does do us a huge favor by letting me basically do anything that I want in my own little corner of the con.Miracle_Falcon wrote:I assume that you're, of course, referring to the balls that have taken the place of the AMV contest in the main event hall Friday night at AUSA the past two cons.
In addition to discussion about the contest, I would also like to get feedback about the VAT and VAT events in general so I have personal feedbacks to present at the next meeting

Shinigami Victor
Gratz to all the winners!
And thanks to the crew for another great show.
One of the things I like best about AUSA is being able to stop by the AMV room almost anytime and see some great AMVs!
Thanks again!

Pray 4 peace! Not an AMV, something you can do to help!

ZenSSStarry, your AMV was really cute. Funny thing was that I was considering "At the Beginning" as one of my songs for another AMV project. You chose the right scenes and it was absolutely cute. A bunch of great series and very good editing without having to use a ton of special effects, as you really let the natural flow of the scenes you chose make the impact for you, especially the climactic Fruits Basket scene and also in Pita-ten when Misha is flying near the tower with Kotarou.ZenSSStarry wrote:Woah, I actually got second place o.o I didn't even expect to make it to the finals xDD
Anyways, congratz to all the finalist and winners =D
Too bad I couldn't make it to the con...maybe next year.. xD
That reminds me, I never did finish Pita-ten, and word has it that several years ago, someone had licensed it for the US, but it kind of disappeared.
Anyways, congrats again to you!
