So I heard Creative Suite programs interact well...
I'm considering getting Adobe Premiere CS3/CS4, but since it's so expensive, I'm wondering if what I hear about Adobe Creative Suite programs working well with eachother true. I want to know the details.

From my experience with Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop, the integration is excellent. After Effects can open Premiere Project files allowing you to make your cuts in premiere and then switch easily over to After Effects and add your text or other elaborate effects. In regards to Photoshop, both AE and Pre allow you to import PSD files as a single flat piece of footage or a layered sequence. Very handy if you are making a title screen or a DVD menu.
I haven't messed with much before the CS change. Though I know the sequence importing capabilities of After Effects still works in CS3. It even imported a project from Premiere Pro 1.0 with no hiccups. And I have read that the new CS4 line is even better. A little late to look it up myself so I'll let the link do some of the talking.

With CS4, you should check out the Dynamic Link. Now, THATS's a cool interaction system...

Indeed, can't be faster and better integrated than being able to right click on premiere's clips on the timeline, applying effects or whatever you need in ae and already having the ae's composition as a sequence in premiere's timeline... it's really intuitive and timesaving.kenzuka wrote:With CS4, you should check out the Dynamic Link. Wish I had the money to get that shit though I don't mind the old integration since I don't do much AE work except for titles.mirkosp wrote:Indeed, can't be faster and better integrated than being able to right click on premiere's clips on the timeline, applying effects or whatever you need in ae and already having the ae's composition as a sequence in premiere's timeline... it's really intuitive and timesaving.kenzuka wrote:With CS4, you should check out the Dynamic Link. That's completely awesome. I need to get my damn cmputer back up and running. My friend get's legal copies of these programs when they come out and let's me use them because he's more of a CNS specialist.
