BECK on MTV or is it LIVE?
WOW!
It took me a while to decide to upload this one....
I can finally announce it as the forums where down as I was planning to make the announcement.
This video was made before my latest AMV Afrikaans Accent Institute also referred to as AAI. If you havent seen AAI yet then I do recommend you have a look at it. xD
I'll keep this one short...
The basic gist of the AMV is that it is made to seem as if BECK are performing a LIVE performance as well as giving the impression of a music video such as what you usually get with musical atists and bands these days. So this should also feel as if this is a music video of the BECK band that one might find on MTV.
The video switches between the band and scenes of Koyuki and Maho which shows their time together. So it could also be said that the song is being sung about/for someone if you know where I'm getting at.
For any other information please read the comments/description under the video information
Otherwise sit back, relax and enjoy the show.

I haven't watched this yet,
but it amuses me when people "sync" guitars sounds to guitars visuals... (or other instruments in the same way) everyone might complain when lip sync is off, but they never complain that the instruments used are never actually "synced" properly XD (or if you have a bass synced to a guitar sound...)

Re: BECK on MTV or is it LIVE?
Well, this is one of my earlier projects and as you can see I didn't really concentrate much on lip-sync accuracy. Of course, it's different for me now as I am seriously being strict with myself regarding these things now including timing and lip-sync.
But the lip-sync is still there despite the flaws. Either way, I hope you enjoy the AMV
As for the instrument timing going with the music, yeah, that is what I tried to accomplish for the most part. Yes I know I used scenes of bass guitar synced to the sounds of a normal electric guitar but those were the best scenes I could find to fit in with the whole LIVE feel. It also allowed me to include all members of the band in the video.
I still think it turned out rather well. Thanks for the feedback guys.
Can't wait to start my next project. Gonna be my biggest one yet.

Re: BECK on MTV or is it LIVE?
Good idea, terrible execution. The sync felt very weak and inconsistent, the instrument sync you went for was all off most of the time, though, I'm probably going to judge stricter on that since I play guitar myself. It could have been done a lot better. Not just the strumming patterns, but as jaddziadax mentioned, having a base scene when there is no base going on at the time and such. It just looked awkward.
Anyway, barely gets a 2/5 from me, it mostly gets the 2 because I liked the idea of the live MTV performance, very original and a nice touch, but I think it could've been edited a lot better.
